Spotlight Students

Elyse Malamud, GBN class of 2023, researched the history of Glenbrook North for her Advanced Honors Research Program (AHRP). Her two-year research project examines the school’s 70-year evolution, particularly the changing curriculums. Malamud, who shared her findings with the GBN community in a display case, is thankful for the rewarding academic experience.

Drew Duffy, GBS class of 2023, was the winner of a contest for high school students to redesign the Cook County flag. Finding inspiration in historical events, he incorporated designs to represent important elements of the county such as its many forest preserves. Duffy was excited to study vexillology and create a visual representation of Cook County.

Learning Opportunities & Environments

You’ll meet influential educators who have left an indelible mark on generations of students, including the positive impact of influential teachers and the notable alumni who embody the spirit of excellence instilled by the district.

For the first time in over 30 years, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South received total classroom make-overs. Upgrades include accessible and functional furniture, white boards, new paint, and state-of-the-art lighting and projection fixtures, creating a collaborative and flexible environment.

Glenbrook Off-Campus (GBOC) is a therapeutic day school in District 225. Equipped with a CrossFit box and other innovative athletic equipment, the gym serves a space for physical education classes. In addition, students and staff utilize it for respites throughout the day to improve their mind and body wellness.

Grants generously awarded by the Glenbrook High School Foundation funded numerous teaching projects and provided leadership opportunities and merit scholarships to support student success and excellence.
