Each year Glenbrook High School District 225 offers a summer school program for students seeking to earn additional credits, successfully complete courses previously taken, and participate in enrichment courses. Enrollment in summer school is optional, tuition-based, and requires parents to complete the registration process.
This year, summer school is currently planned “in-person” and will be held at Glenbrook South High School with the following schedule. This is tentative and subject to change to online or hybrid. Registered students and parents will receive communication of changes as they occur. To attend summer school, students will be required to participate in the current COVID testing program.
Schedule:
Registration for summer school courses will be completed using the District's online registration system for all Glenbrook residents (non-residents will need to complete the registration process in-person at the District Administration Building or by phone). Payment will not be required at the time of registration. Alternatively, invoices will be e-mailed to parents on Friday, April 30, 2021, for outstanding balances. All fees must be paid Friday, May 7, 2021 (full refunds will be provided by request until Friday, May 28, 2021; no refund will be provided after that time). Registration will be canceled for non-payment.
Access to the summer school registration system is based on a student’s incoming grade level for the 2021-22 school year. Glenbrook residents will receive priority for open courses until May 3, 2021.
Due to class size limitations, parents are encouraged to register as soon as possible. (Please Note: Courses may be canceled due to low enrollment. Decisions to cancel courses due to enrollment will be made no later than Friday, May 21, 2021.)
