Student Absence Reporting System Update

District 225 is excited about a new, more efficient way for families to notify the school about student absences. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, we ask that families use the PowerSchool Portal to report absences. The system allows families to report a daily absence as well as any future dates a student will not be at school. We are confident that this system will provide a faster and easier process for families. Detailed steps on how to complete this process are available through the Glenbrook Help Desk Knowledge Base. 

As a reminder, the following processes are in place. 

  • Students who are called out during the school day need to visit the attendance window for a pass and sign out at the time they are leaving the school.
  • Students who are returning to school or coming in late need to visit the attendance window for a pass and sign in when they enter the school. 
  • Students who fail to sign in or out will receive an unexcused absence for the classes they missed.
  • Students excused from school must leave the building.
