Director of Technology Services
The Glenbrook High School District is seeking candidates who will provide leadership, build capacity, direct implementation within the school community in the areas of infrastructure, network and cloud-based systems management, hardware and software identification and assessment, district system implementation and management, and technical support for all district personnel.  The director will collaborate with the Director of Instructional Innovation and Technology.

Glenbrook North High School has the following opening for the 2017-18 school year.

  • Physics Teacher - GBN is seeking candidates with a physics degree or equivalent of to fill a full-time position teaching algebra-based and conceptual level physics courses for the 2017-18 school year.  Please complete the online application by January 19, 2017.

  • Career & Tech Education - GBN is seeking candidates who can teach a variety of courses such as: woods, autos, small engines, metals, and welding to fill a potential full-time position for the 2017-18 school year. Interest or experience in teaching PLTW would be preferred

  • Mathematics - anticipated opening for a full time teacher

  • School Psychologist - Type 73 required.
  • Choral Teacher - 0.6 FTE - actively seeking a dynamic and creative choir director to join our staff.  The position is for the 2017-18 school year, and we hope to find a candidate that will grow the position into full-time.  The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in a wide variety of vocal ensembles, and must be comfortable in a collaborative, team-teaching environment.  Additional responsibilities include directing 3 extra-curricular ensembles, vocal directing our annual Variety Show, helping to lead a bi-annual choir tour, and other duties as assigned.

Homebound Teachers for 2016-2017

Glenbrook High Schools are seeking Homebound teachers who would provide instruction to students who are unable to attend school in our buildings.   Homebound teachers generally deliver instruction in core subjects to students at their home.  Assignments can range from a couple days to several weeks.  


Each session averages 2 hours per day.  Homebound teachers are compensated at $53/hour for direct instruction and receive some compensation for lesson preparation. To serve as a Homebound teacher, you must hold an Illinois State Teacher License and have an active Illinois Driver’s License.

Club and Activity Vacancies for 2017-18

Glenbrook North High School has the following open positions:

GBN is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to serve in the capacity of Color Guard Director for the award-winning Spartan Marching Band.  Scheduling expectations are as follows:

  • Summer Rehearsals (2 hour rehearsals twice per week, lasting roughly 6 - 8 weeks)

  • Band Camp (August 14 - 18 in Ingleside, IL 8am - 9pm)

  • Regular Season Rehearsals (Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 - 9 pm at GBN)

  • Football Games (select Fridays, instructors are asked to stay at least through halftime)

  • 3 Contests (Wheaton North 9/16, Wheeling 9/23, Downers Grove South 10/14)

  • Winter/Spring season will be discussed as needed

GBN is seeking an Assistant Director of our Orchesis Dance Company.  Candidates should embody a strong background in classical and modern dance as a performer and director and have experience in small and large group choreography.  We are looking for a candidate who can inspire dancers and has experience in producing large dance shows.
