Administrative Vacancies for 2017-18

Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction
Glenbrook North High School is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction.  This 12-month administrative position is responsible for implementing the high school's curricular program, monitoring student achievement data, and supervising the school's department chairs.  Applicants for this position must possess Illinois administrative certification.  This appointment will begin July 1, 2017.

Director of Technology Services
The Glenbrook High School District is seeking candidates who will provide leadership, build capacity, direct implementation within the school community in the areas of infrastructure, network and cloud-based systems management, hardware and software identification and assessment, district system implementation and management, and technical support for all district personnel.  The director will collaborate with the Director of Instructional Innovation and Technology.

  • Physics Teacher - GBN is seeking candidates with a physics degree or equivalent of to fill a full-time position teaching algebra-based and conceptual level physics courses for the 2017-18 school year.  Please complete the online application by January 19, 2017.
     
  • Career & Tech Education - GBN is seeking candidates who can teach a variety of courses such as: woods, autos, small engines, metals, and welding to fill a potential full-time position for the 2017-18 school year. Interest or experience in teaching PLTW would be preferred.

Homebound Teachers for 2016-2017

Glenbrook High Schools are seeking Homebound teachers who would provide instruction to students who are unable to attend school in our buildings.   Homebound teachers generally deliver instruction in core subjects to students at their home.  Assignments can range from a couple days to several weeks.  
 
Each session averages 2 hours per day.  Homebound teachers are compensated at $53/hour for direct instruction and receive some compensation for lesson preparation. To serve as a Homebound teacher, you must hold an Illinois State Teacher License and have an active Illinois Driver’s License.

Long Term Substitutes for 2016-2017

Glenbrook North High School is seeking candidates with a Special Education degree to fill a full-time, long-term substitute position teaching English, Reading, and Study Strategies and Transition Skills to Special Education students grades 9-12.  Applicants with a Reading Specialist Degree or Reading Endorsement are preferred.  The substitute position will begin in mid-February.  Please complete the online application no later than January 19, 2017.

Glenbrook North High School is seeking candidates with a licensure in School Psychology to fill a full-time, long-term substitute position that is anticipated to begin in late March and will run through the end of the current school year.  The position will entail a range of responsibilities including conducting case study evaluations and providing counseling to students.  Please complete the online application no later than February 17, 2017.

Glenbrook North High School is seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher to fill a long-term substitute position starting mid-March through the end of the school year.  Interested candidates should complete the online application.


Glenbrook South High School anticipates a long term leave in student services and is seeking a counselor substitute.  Schedule is still to be determined.
