Mr. Ryan Bretag
Ryan Bretag has served as Director of Instructional Innovation since July 2016. Prior to this, he served in a number of roles within District 225, most recently as the Associate Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Glenbrook North High School. His education includes a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education from Illinois State University; master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, from Walden University; and Leadership in Education from Aurora University. He is a doctoral candidate in Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction at Aurora University. Named in 2014 as a Top 50 Innovator in Education, Ryan looks to continue his work infusing innovative ideas and instructional practices through professional development for teachers and support staff, leading initiatives in physical space design, and ensuring a positive parent/student experience in teaching and learning applications. A sought after local and national speaker, he is an active member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Staff Development Council, the International Society of Technology in Education, and the Consortium of School Networking.
