Current Policies and Procedures
The Board of Education takes responsibility for its policymaking role by creating its policy manual into a living document that provides good governance directives to the district at all times. The policy manual is reviewed and revised on an ongoing basis in response to changing state and federal laws, regulations, court cases, as well as changes in the school community. All policies are written and available to the public for review. In general, policies:
- Provide a statement to the community of district goals;
- Delegate authority to the superintendent or designee;
- Define operating limits;
- Ensure legal compliance;
- Establish board processes; and
- Provide for monitoring district progress.
