At a regular board meeting on September 27, 2021, the Glenbrook High School District 225 Board of Education in a 7-0 vote approved the final budget for the 2021-22 school year. The action follows a public hearing, which was held during the meeting on September 13.
The balanced budget projects $146.9 million in direct revenues and $147.6 million in direct expenditures. Included in the proposed budget is a one-time purposeful use of fund balance for debt service payments in the amount of $676,914.
“As a result of long-term prudent financial management, the school district is able to present a balanced budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year,” said Associate Superintendent Dr. R.J. Gravel. “This budget provides the financial resources necessary to support our excellent academic and extracurricular programs, while also continuing to provide anticipated expenditures related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”
The final budget is posted on the district’s website.
