All spring athletic practices and competitions at both Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South have been suspended until at least April 8. We are hopeful that all of our programs will be able to resume practice and competitions at that time. All athletic facilities will be shut down and unavailable for student use.

UPDATE - March 28
We care deeply about the well-being and safety of each and every student, staff member and family and have been thinking about you over spring break. We hope you had a chance to find moments of a spring break mindset and moments of peace. Personally, we are looking forward to the time when we can all be together again. Until then, we plan to maintain a constant connection with our Glenbrook families. The following are a few highlights as we prepare for the upcoming week:
Mental Health Resources
It’s as important as ever to take care of our mental and emotional health during this challenging time. All Glenbrook resources remain available including Text-A-Tip, anonymous reporting hotlines, and community resources. In addition, our school counselors, social workers, and psychologists will be maintaining regular office hours and connections with students starting on Tuesday.
As Spring Break comes to a close, District 225 is ready and excited to welcome students back starting on Tuesday, March 31. Our teachers are ready to launch E-Learning and we are confident in our plans moving forward.
In addition, late last night, State Superintendent Dr. Carmen Ayala released the latest teaching guidance pertaining to our work during the time of E-Learning. The District 225 leadership team is currently reviewing and discussing the 60-page document to consider and apply its impacts to our existing plans for E-Learning. Parents, students, and staff can expect to receive additional communication on Sunday evening (tomorrow), and in the interim, we encourage review of the E-Learning website and Frequently Asked Questions.
Food Service for Families In Need
During this difficult time, while schools are closed, the district is offering meals for any student, regardless of income, who is in need. We have partnered with our food service provider, Quest, and are grateful to be able to provide additional relief. To notify the district of an intent to pick up meals, please fill out this form to assist us in allocating resources. Meal pick up is at the front of Glenbrook South High School on Mondays and Wednesdays between 7:00 am and 12:00 pm.
Status of Spring Events
We know there are a lot of questions surrounding major upcoming events such as the musical, prom, and graduation. These are treasured activities and we know how important they are to our students, families, staff, and community. Our leadership team is carefully monitoring the rapidly changing situation and continuing to discuss its impact on each event. We understand the desire to know as far in advance as possible the status of events, and we are working to balance that need with our continued hope to maintain events if at all possible and safe to do so. If and when any decisions are made in terms of events, we will notify all parents, students, and staff via email.
Summer School Registration/Invoices
At this time, as per usual, online summer school registration is closed. Students who want to register should contact our summer school office at email@example.com directly. For those who have registered, invoices are being held and no payment is required at this time.
In these challenging times, each organization is coming together to do the best to safely offer continuity of services for all. In the meantime, we all need to keep on doing what we are doing to stay safe. We are confident that we will continue to work together to persevere through this challenging time. Our efforts now will have a large impact on where we will stand when this crisis passes.
