Glenbrook South Parents' Association 

Glenbrook South Parents' Association seeks membership from the entire GBS community. The purpose of the organization is to serve as an educational and informational liaison between the school administration and parents. The board, called the Executive Council, consists of parents representing each grade level and drawn from six different geographical areas to provide a balanced representation.  During the year four parent information programs are planned.  Membership is $20 and includes a subscription to the student newspaper, Oracle. Titan Booster Club is the parent support group for interscholastic sports.  During the year the Booster Club engages in a variety of fundraising activities and purchases athletic equipment for the school. The organization is run by an executive board. Membership starts at $35. Contact Mike Noan at 847-724-5063 or nolandds@comcast.net.

 

Grad Nite Committee is a parent group that plans Grad Nite, a chaperoned all-night celebration for graduating seniors at an indoor entertainment complex on the night of graduation.  Volunteer opportunities are open to all parents and include Time Capsule, Grad Cards, Check-in, Chaperone and Publicity committees. GBSIL (Glenbrook South Instrumental League) is a support group for all GBS bands.  During the year they assist band members in fundraising activities and provide chaperones and support for band competitions.  All interested community members are welcome to join this organization.  Contact Maureen Basak at 847-724-5425 or mcb59@comcast.net.

 

GSO Parent Board is the support group for the Glenbrook Symphony Orchestra.  During the year it sponsors fund raisers,serves as chaperones and lends its support to all orchestra activities. Contact Kristin Wagner at 847-486-4438 or kwagner@glenbrook225.org.

 

Titan Pom Boosters is the support group for the student performers of pom pon routines at athletic events, school functions and drill team competitions. Contact Kathy Baboulis at 847-412-9322 or cdbdds@aol.com or Barrie McDaniel at 847-832-0269 or BarrieMcDaniel@caremark.com.

Glenbrook South Debate Society Parent League

is the support group for GBS debaters. It sponsors fund-raising

events and, when debate tournaments are held at GBS, parents

help out by providing food and organizational skills. Contact

Glenbrook Special Education Parent & Staff Association consists of parents with children in special

education.  The purpose of the group is to identify issues and

common concerns of special education students and work with

the special education staff and administration on those issues. 

Parent information meetings are held throughout the year.
