Principal Wegley continues to serve Glenbrook South High School faithfully. He served as the associate principal for curriculum for two-years and spent sixteen wonderful years in the classroom where he earned many honors including Fermilab's Science Teacher of the Year in 1998. Principal Wegley summarized his feelings on Glenbrook South High School as he shared, "Glenbrook South High School is a special place full of caring and capable people that create outstanding opportunities for our students to connect and excel. I serve GBS with great pride and with all my heart."

His central goal continues to be creating opportunities for the students of the present and future that are as rich as those Glenbrook South High School had provided to students in the past. He believes in empowering all members of the Glenbrook South Family to best serve the school's central mission of preparing students to lead productive and ethical lives. Fundamentally he embraces the culture and structure that has become Glenbrook South and echoes words that have been embraced by his predecessors, "We are not mere mortals, we are Titans."
