Dates: Monday, June 25, 2012 through Thursday, June 28, 2012
Location: Trevian / F.C. United Indoor Soccer Facility - 6368 West Howard Street; Niles, Illinois 60714
Time: 1:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Cost: $175.00 (if received before Friday, June 22, 2012, not postmarked)
$225.00 (if received after); sorry no prorated rates.
Ages: From U10 to U18 (youth to high school).
Each goalkeeper will receive a sackpack.
Philosophy
The camp is individually centered around creating a positive learning experience and environment in which to advance their goalkeeping skills. Whether tactically, psychologically, technically, or physical conditioning, each keeper creates for themselves a structure in which to excel. Critical development comes from building upon successes that goalkeepers have achieved, while recognizing and tackling obstacles they have confronted, and providing solutions in that your son/daughter will strive positively, competitively, and most of all, enjoy the goalkeeping position.
Each goalkeepers it required to bring a ball(s), water bottle, shorts, shirts, soccer cleats, and shinguards daily. Water will be provided for goalkeepers during the camp for hydration.
· Psychology: leadership, confidence, positive attitude, maturity, poise, handling pressure, mental awareness, training stimulation, self-esteem.
· Tactics: anticipation, dead ball situations, decision making skills, organizing defense, geometrical positioning, breakaway situations, reading attacks, initializing counterattacks, establishing rhythm, restarts, backpass situations, penalty kick situations, angle play, communication.
· Techniques: diving saves, goal kicks, distribution kicks, hand distribution, field player technique, catching, handling, boxing, cross balls, parrying, shot saving, redirection, stance, range, flighted balls, footwork, breakaways.
· Conditioning: proper warm-up, off-season/pre-season conditioning techniques, balance, footwork, mobility, strength, flexibility, coordination, proper cool-down, core fitness.
Intermediate Goalkeeping
for U10 through U12, (youth-level) goalkeepers focusing on fundamentals of goalkeeping.
Advanced Goalkeeping I
for U13 through U15, fundamental repetition/reinforcement primarily for premium core goalkeeping skills and activities. Refining technical aspects for future development are focused on.
Advanced Goalkeeping II
for U16 through U18, high intensity sessions primarily for JV / varsity goalkeepers. Goalkeepers will be taught specialized situations and quality tactical information to be used within a high level match.
