CUSTODIAN
10 Months
Glenbrook North
has an opening for a 10-month custodian for general cleaning of the building.

Responsibilities:
*  Cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, kitchen, cafeterias, auditorium, gym, locker rooms, pools, etc.
*  Ability to cover a designated zone or custodial schedule in the school following the district guidelines for completing the schedule in the shift.
*  Ability to read and interpret instructions in English; ability to speak effectively in English
*  Ability to work in a custodian project team
*  Ability to be on feet almost constantly (5-6 miles of walking per day)
*  Ability to relate well with students, staff and outside groups

Hours:  3:00 - 11:30 p.m.

Salary:  $26,585 per year ($16.37 per hour), 203 paid days

MAINTENANCE
10 Months
Glenbrook North
needs a maintenance person for a 10-month position.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Carpentry Skills:  door closer-hinge repair/maintenance; mounting items such as boards & tack strips; cut & install ceiling tiles; emergency window or door board up; furniture repair; floor tile maintenance & repair.
*  Electrical Skills:  light bulb, balast, & socket repair; trouble shooting electrical problems.
*  HVAC:  monitor equipment; inspect/change water & air filters.
*  Plumbing:  faucet/fixture replacement & repair; adjust/repair drinking fountains; diagnose & repair flush valves.
*  Roof Inspections:  inspect roof drains & clean around screens; police the roof.
*  Background in energy conservation.
*  Ability to read and interpret instructions in English; ability to speak effectively in English.
*  Ability to relate well with students, staff and outside groups.

Hours:  9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Salary:  $34,000 per year ($20.94 per hour) 203 paid days

PARAPROFESSIONAL - Part-Time
Glenbrook North & South 
are looking for part-time cafeteria supervisors, 3 hours per day.

Hours:  10:30 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m.

Salary:  $13.55 per hour


INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS
Minimum educational requirement for IA's is 60 college credit hours.  Starting salary for all IA's is $15.73 to $16.73 per hour.

Glenbrook South
needs an ELL aide with ELL and/or Bilingual coursework in progress or endorsed.  Prefer individual with high school teaching certificate and/or experience working with adolescents.  Fluency in Korean and/or Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group academic assistance to second language learners, particularly in the areas of English, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
*  Assist bilingual students in classroom settings.
*  Help with additional activities planned for students in the ESL Program and related tasks.

Hours:  7:30 a.m. -- 2:30 p.m.
