ATHLETICS VACANCY FOR 2014-2015
Weight Room Instructional Assistant - Glenbrook South - The primary job of the instructional assistant is to help the primary classroom teacher lead, guide, and teach students proper technique, form and associated skills in weightlifting/cardiovascular exercise for all weights and conditioning classes. This may include, but is not limited to, co-teaching lessons, giving visual demonstrations for technique on certain lifts, and performing other administrative duties (taking attendance, dealing with discipline issues, assisting in grading, etc.). The instructional assistant is also the primary caretaker of the fitness center, this includes monitoring students when no teacher is present, cleaning and maintaining all of the equipment, as well as fixing or replacing any damaged equipment. This is a very interactive position with both students and staff that requires an energetic and outgoing personality, as well as the ability to lead and guide student growth and achievement.

Instructional Assistant - Science Department - Glenbrook South is seeking a science instructional aide with certification in secondary science (physics, chemistry, and/or biology) to work with students in the Titan learning Center (TLC tutoring center) for the 2014-15 school year.
