CLERICAL VACANCY FOR 2014-2015

Receptionist/Switchboard - Glenbrook South has an opening for a 10-month, 203-day receptionist to manage all incoming phone calls and visitors to the principal's office.  The receptionist answers a high volume of phone calls and greets visitors in an efficient and professional manner.  This individual must handle confidential information with integrity and descretion and be familiar with school policy and procedures.  A full job description is below.  Base salary is $23,637.

CUSTODIAL/MAINTENANCE VACANCY FOR 2014-2015

 

Custodian - Glenbrook South has an immediate opening for a 10-month, second-shift custodian to work from 3:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Base salary is $28,875.  A job description is below.

PARAPROFESSIONAL VACANCIES FOR 2014-2015

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT VACANCIES FOR 2014-2015

All IA's must have Paraprofessional Certification.  Starting salary is $16.70 per hour, $17.70 per hour with a college degree.

Instructional Assistant - Glenbrook South is looking to fill a position for a part-time IA to assist in the Spanish classroom.  This position will cover 3 sections of Spanish Studies 263 on Gold days only.   A teaching degree in Spanish is preferred.  While a teaching certificate is not required, the candidate must possess strong skills in the Spanish language and a desire to work in a classroom setting.

Instructional Assistant - Glenbrook Off Campus Center is looking to fill a position for an instructional assistant with knowledge of the autism spectrum.  Experience in this area would be a plus.  Start date would be August 25, 2014.

Instructional Assistant - Dean's Office - Glenbrook North anticipates the need for a full-time (7-hour day) and a part-time (3-hour day) general assignment instructional assistants for the Dean's office.  Base salary will be $16.70 per hour or $17.70 per hour (with a college degree).

STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Internal Candidates Only

The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is an early intervention program designed to help students who are experiencing problems that interfere with learning, such as family issues, substance abuse, health concerns, peer conflicts, depression, abuse or other adolescent problems.  Students at  risk are identified and then are connected with services both in the community or within the school so they can overcome their problems and achieve success in school endeavors.


The SAP team includes 6 faculty members from different departments at GBS, along with the school nurse and the SAP team coordinator.


SAP members are paid a stipend of $2000.00 for the year for active participation with the team.

 

For the 14-15 school year team members will attend weekly scheduled meetings during the Block 3, Blue day, Lunch 3(12:51-1:36).
