Substitute Openings

Glenbrook North High School is seeking a long term substitute teacher to teach 3 Biology and 1 General Science corses from early May (exact start date TBD) through June 10th.  Biology background is required.

 

Internal Candidates Only

Glenbrook South High School is seeking a Peer Group Supervisor for the 2014-15 school year.  This internal candidate should be a dynamic individual who can lead a group of seniors in a small group setting and mentor the work they do to help freshmen transition successfully into high school.  This person will be responsible for organizing, facilitating and evaluating lessons during one block that are tailored toward team building, small group initiatives, and discussions.  In addition, freshman groups will need to be supervised and monitored closely so appropriate feedback can be given to the seniors.  There is a week of paid leadership training during the summer that is required for this new hire.  We are looking for someone who can be a positive influence in the lives of our leaders and motivate them to make good choices while being a great role model in the GBS community. Club/Activity Vacancies for 2014-15

Debate Instructor and Director of Debate - Glenbrook South High School is seeking a director of the nationally recognized GBS Debate Team.  This individual will coordinate debate instruction, team preparation, and other activities associated with a top ranked program.  Previous debate coaching is required and head coaching experience preferred.  A full time teaching position accompancies this appointment.  (Please fill out an online application for the teaching position.)  Candidates working towards certification may be considered.

Glenbrook North has the following extra curricular activity openings:

Variety Show Director - Candidates should have experience in directing large and small performance groups, a vision for productions and ability to manage staff and student acts.

Varsity Pom Pon Coach - Applicants need to have both performance and coaching experience.  We are looking for an experienced person who inspires dancers and possesses strong choreography skills.

Director of Orchesis Dance Company - Candidates shold embody a strong background in classical and modern dance as a performer and director and have experience in small and large group choreography.  We are looking for candidates who inspire dancers and have experience in producing dance shows.
