Glenbrook High School District 225 is seeking a dynamic educational leader to assume the role of principal at Glenbrook North High School (Northbrook, IL).  This appointment will begin July 1, 2015.
 
Applicants for the position of Principal at Glenbrook North High School must possess or be eligible for Illinois licensure.  Salaries are highly competitive with Chicago north shore/northwest suburban districts and an excellent administrative benefit package is provided.

English Instructional Supervisor
Glenbrook South High School is seeking exceptional candidates with a strong commitment to helping all students maximize their learning within the English/ELL/Broadcasting Department.  Candidates are expected to be eager to implement a standards-based curriculum that intentionally grows the reading and writing skills of all students.  In addition, ideal candidates will exhibit leadership expertise contributing to a collaborative leadership team, rallying his/her department toward a cohesive vision, and promoting strong curricular teams.

Mathematics Instructional Supervisor
Glenbrook North High School is seeking candidates for the position of Instructional Supervisor for Mathematics for the 2015-16 school year. The department offers a comprehensive mathematics curriculum. This 10-month administrative position is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff with an emphasis on continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.  Applicants for this position must have earned a master’s degree and possess or be eligible for Illinois licensure for the evaluation of teachers. Preferred qualifications include a Type 75 certificate and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.

Social Studies Instructional Supervisor
Glenbrook North High School is seeking candidates for the position of Instructional Supervisor for Social Studies for the 2015-16 school year. The department offers a comprehensive Social Studies curriculum. This 10-month administrative position is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff with an emphasis on continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.  In addition,the position involves oversight of the Advanced Honors Research Program.  Applicants for this position must have earned a master’s degree and possess or be eligible for Illinois licensure for the evaluation of teachers. Preferred qualifications include a Type 75 certificate and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.

Glenbrook South High School has no openings at this time.

 

Glenbrook North High School has the following openings:
  • School Psychologist - This is a temporary position that is part-time at 0.6 FTE. Interested candidates should be able to complete case study evaluations and functional behavior assessments, participate in IEP and other multi-disciplinary team meetings, and provide short-term counseling as well as crisis intervention.
  • Certified School Nurse - This is a full time position.  Interested candidates must be a current registered nurse and be certified in the State of Illinois.
  • Head Librarian - This is a full time position for the 2015-16 school year.  Applicants are required to have a Master in Library and Information Science and must possess or be eligible for Illinois Teacher Licensure.  A General Administrative License is highly desired.  Candidates should also have at least 5 years experience as a certified school librarian.  The position will include 10 extra days on the contract to accommodate additional responsibilities.  Please apply online by January 5, 2015.
